In the late 1960's, Sherm decides to enlist in the Army after graduating from high school. Vietnam is a harsh reality for all Americans and looms heavily over our heads. At eighteen, Sherm has his whole life ahead of him and has no fear. He boldly looks forward to the daring adventures ahead. A tragic car accident quickly changes the course of Sherm and his family's lifes. The Army calls his father to his side as Sherm lies in critical condition and is not expected to live. Faith, family and a strong will to survive are essential as Sherm and his father struggle together - not knowing what lies ahead.
