Purna Vidya is a twelve year program designed to provide a structured and developmentally based teaching of Vedic tradition and culture to children. It consists of teaching materials, assignments, lesson plans, and fun filled exercises. It is very comprehensive and includes a wide range of subject matter. The subject matter selected is based on the developmental and chronological age of a child such that the concepts are well within their grasp. Purna Vidya curriculum is used in several schools and communities in many countries. Puranic Tales for The Young is the sexond of twelve parts of the curriculum suitable for a second grade child. It consists of illustrated stories taken from the Puranas. The stories are such that they convey a message full of Universal Values. The illustrations are very appealing to a child and can be used for colouring as part of a fun filled exercise. The book also introduces a child to Prayers and Puja and introduces few commonly recited prayer verses that are well known in Vedic tradition and chanted during regular worship.
