Planet Scout, Timoron

Question: how would one pick a planet to live on? One might select certain characteristics to explore for mineral wealth or exotic fauna or for permanent settlement. It had started as a class discussion in Dr. Panter's University of Mars course on Extraterrestrial Exploration; the professor had called both Cari and Gil Morrison to speak to his classes about their experiences on Raptor's World, Birenso and the dying planet Brio as planet scouts. The most outspoken student was Lea Morrison; she'd spent time on both the first two planets and had close relationships with raptors, Brio and Brio horsk. She was convinced Dr. Panter was too embedded in Candor Cliffs' human culture to prepare students for any real extraterrestrial experience. She challenged him to take the class off to an unknown and unexplored planet and have the students learn on-site in real time!
