Kit Hennessey, a British agent operating in the new-Nazi underworld of Europe, comes across a goth girl named Tilly Herkup who knows some very unusual people, even by Kit's standards. He follows the trail on which she leads him from a religious agitator in Brussels to an even more ominous circle in Venice. They seem to be developing high tech, not for theft but for murder.
