"Set against the ethnographic detail of Brooklyn, NY in 1944 during World War II, it is the compelling coming of age story of a young patriotic American jewish girl named Evelyn Sternheim who is the self-made banker Benjamin Sternheim's tomboy daughter. And whose mother is an intensely charasmatic U.S. Army Nurse, Lt. Evelyn Sternheim stationed overseas in Europe.
