Lady of the Beasts is the story of Nola Lupa, a prostitute under the spell of Artemis, the Wolf One, the huntress who turns men into beasts, and who kills what she loves when her secret self is revealed. As she psychically kills off her son and her lovers- a thief, a flutist, a priest, and astrophysicist- she continues to torture them by putting their ghosts ‘on the couch’.
