Becoming A Black Belt: Unit One: Character Building For The Martial Artist: Confidence and Respect

This booklet was designed by a martial arts instructor and parent of martial artists, and is a compilation of handouts that have been used in our martial arts school. It is intended for use by instructors who wish to offer character development programs to their students in a simple, effective, and inexpensive way. The worksheets in Unit One cover confidence, respect, assertiveness, and courage. There are sections for young (4 to 7 year old) as well as older (8 to 15 year old) students.
