Turf Wars

An aging but streetwise baby boomer and a twenty-something MBA with an enormous chip on his shoulder collide head-on when they are summarily terminated from their jobs at an old-line lawn equipment manufacturing company. Somehow, amid the clutter and chaos of their upended lives they are able to forge a tenuous relationship that wobbles just above the fray of misguided distrust and open confrontation. Turf Wars is a poignant yet often irreverently humorous tale of redemption in which two men, roughly cast out into a world they no longer recognize, must first acknowledge their many failings and insecurities if they have any hope whatsoever of resurrecting their battered and bruised self-esteem. Standing squarely in their path to rediscovery are a ridiculously reckless business venture, curiously entangled romantic relationships, a vengeful and calculating ex-boss, and many acres of lushly uncut Kentucky bluegrass.
