The book is about the first 48 years of the author's life; how she dealt with child abuse over the years and how hard it was to finally rise above the effects of incest. When someone violates a child, they sentence that child to possibly 50 years of dealing with being abused; they also have to overcome emotional turbulence and learn how to make good choices in companions. This usually takes so many years that the abused child enters prostitution (in some cases) or goes through multiple marriages or un-fullfilling marriages and relationships. Some children turn to homosexuality as the only viable resource of intimate relationships, yet those are often empty and abusive. This book can help people who have been abused to recognize that they are not along. It can also help those who deal with people on a regular basis to understand the source and basis of emotional detachment in others and homosexuals that really are not.
