The Korb Konspiracy: what you don't know doesn't hurt you

The Northern Confederation is a society in which the possession of information is strictly controlled. Unfortunately for the usually conservative Kevin Kane, his relationship with a work colleague leads him to challenge the NC's control of information, resulting in his banishment to a space prison 37 years travel from Earth. Kane, Prisoner 313, spends most of his time in the production of korb, an energy-producing rock that appears to be the solution to the global energy crisis facing the Earth. The rest of his time is spent trying to figure out how he managed to get himself banished to the 'korb kolony' in the first place - and how to regain his lost life.
