The London and Country Brewer: 1736

The London and Country Brewer, originally published in 1736 is an account of the London Method of Brewing Stout, Pale and Brown Ales. Printed anonymously "By a Person formerly concerned in a Common Brewhouse at London, but for twenty Years past has resided in the Country." the book explains in detail the methods used at the time to brew a variety of beers in order to educate the inhabitants of the Cities in England in the art of the homebrew. This book is for historical interest only and should not be used as a modern homebrew guide.
