Action Research:How Can I Be a More Effective Reading Teacher to My Daughter?

Action Research was a very important method for me to teach my daughter Sarah how to be a better reader when she was five years old. I struggled teaching simple words like "dog" and "cat". What was I doing wrong? What can I do to improve and be a more effective reading teacher to my daughter? Action Research was a course I took during my master's program at Suffolk University. It was a very useful process for me to change my old ways by learning and researching new ways in collaboration with my social framework.
