Although Beth always knew there would be a day of reckoning, she just didn't know it would be this soon after she had been rid of Adrian Pope. The phone call from Cassandra and Richard Armtree announcing they had kidnapped her brother Mark and offering to exchange his life for the money they contend she "stole" from them sets in motion an intense chain of events ranging from southeastern Minnesota to Sorrento, Italy and the island of Capri.
