After the sudden death of Chancellor Tarin Njoya, Kessa Eltantawi leads the 600 billion-citizen Nuiin Republic in its fight against the Tri-Stellar Apparatus, a galactic terrorist group comprised of feuding species determined to halt Nuiinian interventionism at any cost. Joining her are Detachment 101 leader Sifonemus Meo and Stellar Intelligence Directorate agent Nadukwe Amenaci.
