The Architects' Project: Area, Volume, and Nets

The geometry content of this unit aligns with CCSS Grade 6, including formulas for the area of two-dimensional polygons as well as formulas for the volume and surface area of prisms. The unit can be used alone as a supplement to any core curriculum to ensure that the CCSS Standards of Practice are being met. It also serves as an addition to the previously published Contexts for Learning Mathematics series (K-6), available from Heinemann Press, extending the original CFLM materials on number and operation to geometry.
