Family Chronicles. This is story about life the Troubetzkoy (Trubetskoy) family and relatives before the World War I through the end of the 20th century based on family memoirs and correspondence collected and archived by the Prince Serge Grigorievich Troubetzkoy (1906-2003). It is divided into five major parts containing 14 chapters related to the different periods in the history of the last century. The Chronicles include childhood memories of the life in the Russian country estate before the Russian revolution in 1917 and continue with the family emigration and life in Europe and America in consequent years ending up with the building of the Saint Sergius of Radonezh Chapel in Labelle, Canada. In the appendix to this book are the memoirs of life in Russia starting at the beginning of year 1898 written by Prince Vladimir Petrovich Troubetzkoy and Princess Lyubov Troubetzkoy-Obolensky. Later chapters of the book contain memoirs of Olga Tolstoy-Rodzyanko and materials devoted to the memory of Father Alexander Schmemann and his service at St. Sergius Chapel in Labelle, Canada. The Chronicles are written in Russian and include historical photographs from the family archives with descriptions and captures written in both English and Russian.
