Theosophical literature, as well as traditional texts from the world's religious and philosophical traditions, are full of terminology that may be quite unfamiliar to most readers. The Theosophical Glossary, published in 1892, and reproduced here, attempts to give information on many of the principal Sanskrit, Pahlavi, Tibetan, Pali, Chaldean, Persian, Scandinavian, Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Kabalistic and Gnostic terms that the student of theosophy or comparative religion/philosophy will encounter. In full the glossary constitutes 389 pages, covering over 2700 terms. This edition is a digitized reproduction of the original 1892 edition. The original pagination has been maintained.
