This is a comprehensive description of Scotland's role in the history of the British Army since the Union of the Crowns in 1603 up to the inception of her one and only remaining Regiment since July 2006, the Royal Regiment of Scotland! I have strived for accuracy throughout and I apologise profusely in advance for any errors that may have crept in.
