The Serendipitous Tightrope: The Tampa Bay Area Writing Project 2013 Anthology

A collection of random writings, musings, poems, cathartic therapy on the cheap: whatever you want to call it, this anthology collects some of the great writing that came out of the Tampa Bay Area Writing Project's class of 2013. Some silly, some serious, many that walk what we came to understand as a serendipitous tightrope of experience and reflections on those experiences. See the world through the eyes of 15 gifted educators wrestling with numerous questions, always with finesse, some with humor, and many that will make you pause and feel, 'Wow.' About the Authors: In the summer of 2013, 15 individuals participated in the 14th Tampa Bay Area Writing Project's Invitational Summer Institute, a time of intense collaboration where every participant presented a 90 minute demonstration lesson on an aspect of teaching writing in the classroom. The gifted educators range from elementary to high school, private to public, struggling students to gifted, 1st year teachers to seasoned veterans, but all who participated shared a common bond: the deep, heartfelt commitment to improve as writers and as educators, and to improve the lives of those students in their charge.
