My Secret Journey with God

A word from the author... "During the first two years as a missionary living in a foreign country, as I seemed to go through crisis after crisis, and was emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally pulled apart, I wrote down what was happening. I think it was partly as a way of expressing myself to God, partly self therapeutic, but none-the-less by the end of this two year period I had 40 poems which charted this ‘secret journey with God’ that I had gone through. Whilst the ‘external’ events that I went through were unique to my particular situation, the ‘internal’ journey with God has themes that many others may well be able to identify with. It is for that reason that I asked my good friend and former prayer partner Iain Every to write for each of the 40 poems some ‘personal reflections’, drawing out the key themes and seeking to apply them to others. I hope that MY secret journey with God now made public will help you in YOUR journey with God. - It is designed use it over 40 days, 40 weeks, or some other time period to suit your lifestyle. - You can follow in the chronological order that they were written, or chose the one that connects with what you are going through at that time. - I’ve include a blank page after each of the Personal Reflections, so you can make your own notes as you go along."
