It’s hard to be yourself when no one wants to accept who you really are. Whether you’re growing up downtown, or on the other side, the everyday struggles of being a teenager doesn’t make the grass any more or less green. In this diverse tale, five teens live their lives feeling as if both family and society are bombarding them with the pressures of being statistical. What if society is telling the truth? Is family really that important? As if high school isn’t enough, the teens struggle to find the answers to these questions and overcome the barriers of statistics to discover their true values as young individuals. While each of them has a story of their own, the one thing that connects these teens is poetry. Take a journey with them as they open up to you through their poetic lives.
