A Cottage in the Cotswolds

Eddie Fairfax's quest begins in London's rough and seamy east end and ends amidst the rustic beauty of England's bucolic Cotswold Hills, a mere morning's journey away. But in between, his obsession with finding an answer to a problem that has plagued him from his youth takes him on a long detour to America, lands him in a New York state prison, and plunges him headlong into mortal danger with an outrageously eccentric woman. Together, they chase a bizarre and unimaginable promise offered by a pilfered email to the medieval village of Chipping Campden, buried in the lush green folds of the Cotswolds. Betrayed by his companion and beguiled by the quiet pastoral allure of the Cotswold countryside, Eddie plunges into a maelstrom of murder, kidnapping, and grand larceny.
