The Margrave Family Cookbook: A Northern Exposure

Late November’s wrath had hit hard in Michigan and I was sitting watching the flakes of white snow circle to the brown earth as I mindlessly looked for something constructive to do. Since I trip over my ego daily, this day was no different. I wanted a landmark by which I could be remembered and would extend to future generations. The ‘landmark’ would have something to do with food, since the marking thereof has been one of my passions since I first wrapped my little hand around my first cooking spoon. Aha! Collected recipes from a lifetime of gathering from my mother’s friends and my friends; from former students, clips and snips from old newspapers and magazines and, of course, my food heroes of today. From all these sources came many beloved ideas for the making of culinary delights.
