The road to Goma

A phone call from Goma changes Josephine Carters life forever: her sister has vanished. Determined to find her, Josephine sets out across a remote and dangerous stretch of Africa. Nothing in her sheltered existence has prepared her for war-torn conditions among Congolese refugees, or the terrifying journey through the jungle she must undertake to follow her sister’s trail. Aided by her sister’s reluctant coworkers, including the resourceful and cynical Simon (who carries his own secret about Angelina), Josephine must learn the ways of Africa to survive. Along the way she finds that the boundary between loyalty and love can be treacherous terrain and that in venturing deep into darkness she will discover if she has the strength to survive what she finds there.
