Jerry Coburne is a man with a midlife crisis and a hidden trauma. When a shaman from the Amazon rain forest appears to him in a dream, he decides to drop everything and leave for Peru, looking for answers and spiritual guidance, to get his life back on track. In Iquitos, Peru, the Ayahuasca center of the world, he finds not just an eclectic little town with a number of colorful characters; it is also the gateway to the Amazon rain forest where the shaman resides.
