I am a Fiction: And Other Poems: A collection of poems

“We all need a pinch of illusion to survive, One reality to kill for and another to revive, And so obeys my identity and plays its part, In a thousand faces, but with a single heart. “ Our lives are full of plots that keep some of our deepest characters hidden for an entire lifetime and yet there are a few characters that we play out more often that we should. Characters we play in our daily routine lives are a blend of so many identities that we forget what makes our hearts unique. When we lose track of our paths and need to look back to find ourselves, we do it through one of the identities we feel more comfortable wearing. No matter what we may feel about our past at that point in time, there is always a hope that drives us along and pushes us to play yet another character. These poems are a celebration of hope which is not only integral to our survival but is also the only constant in our lives. These twenty poems are an effort in finding a ray of hope in everything we do and look back and acknowledge our strengths.
