Magdalayna "Layna" Quinlan is an artist, she lives and breathes painting. But it's behind a computer screen that she meets Finnley "Finn" Johnson for the first time. Through their schools, peer helping peer instant message system, Layna becomes Finn's sign language tutor. Over time they grow into a friendship and even without knowing each other physically they develop feelings for one another. Senior year, Finn isn't paying attention and literally runs into Layna. With a chance encounter, a possibly stolen sketchbook, and a reason to talk to her again, Finn is determined to find out who Layna is. What he never expected is the girl he ran over to be the girl he has wanted all along. Together Finn and Layna will learn about love, loss, and finding themselves. But more importantly, how to survive when they're apart.
