After growing up in the outback, with dreams of travel and independence, Milly at last has a career and an income of her own. She finds herself increasingly attracted to her employer, George, an older man who is separated from his wife. Their affair is scandalous enough in their small community but what it eventually leads to will horrify thousands. Her Flesh and Blood is a mix of fiction and non-fiction, inspired by a murder trial in Bendigo, Australia, in 1910.
