Description ▲
This book turns the most famous and celebrated medieval poem of Western literature, in a novel. Of course there are no translations able to return the sublime lyricism of Dante's verses. The present work , in essence, seeks to meet the reader not trained properly to the medieval era, "forcing" the narrator, that Dante himself, to reveal or clarify the background to the more obscure and enigmatic of his otherworldly trip. It is not, therefore, of the usual paraphrase for those who seek a synthesis of the Opera, but a free (although rigorous) interpretation in prose. Scrolling through the hundred chapters (one hundred, as well as the songs of the Original) so the reader can enjoy a story full of asides, commentaries, metaphors, all aimed, page after page, understanding and above all the pleasure of being able to read so how much more fluid and, hopefully, a pleasant Comedy, which rightly Giovanni Boccaccio called " Divine ." I hope to provide a valuable tool not only to the student struggling with exams, but to anyone wishing to begin or deepen the knowledge of an absolute masterpiece of literature of all time. A masterpiece, it must be said, however, that despite the theatrical performances and readings television, there is still little, very little known by the general public.
