Description ▲
Abdu-l-Rahman Ibrahim Ibn Sori (a.k.a. Abdul-Rahman) was a prince from West Africa who was made a slave in the United States. In 1828, he was freed after spending 40 years in slavery by the order of President John Quincy Adams and Secretary of State Henry Clay after the Sultan of Morocco requested his release. Abdul Rahman was freed because of the Treaty with Moors. This is why treaties are important to Moors and Muurs alike. This book discuss treaties that deal with Indigenous People and Moorish Americans. Learn legal understanding of treaties from the past along with present day interpretation.
