The Barefoot Bideshi: Mennonites in Bangladesh: Also includes recipes from a Mennonite kitchen

In Fall 2013 my husband, 8 year old daughter and I were privileged to make a trip to the beautiful country of Bangladesh. We spent time in the rural area known as Gopalgonj, as well as several days in the city of Dhaka. Come along as we visit, observe humanitarian work and catch a taste of everyday village life. Vicariously live a Mennonite church service! Recipes for some of the home-cooked "Mennonite" foods are included. "The Barefoot Bideshi" grabs its title from the Bangla word for "Foreigner", as well as referring to the local custom of removing your shoes before entering a building.
