First German Reader for beginners bilingual for children and parents: Elementary with German-English translation (Graded German readers for children) (Volume 1)

The book contains a beginner's course for children with parallel German-English translation. There are a few pictures and the first simple sentences in the first chapter. More pictures and vocabulary are added in the second and following chapters. They build up little stories, guiding a learner gently into the English language.
