Nine years ago, when I wrote this book, I never thought anything in it could be a possibility. Now as I take a look at the world around me, it's not only a possibility, but it's happening. Emmett Renaldi is a brilliant scientist. He accidentally comes across a line of code that spells the end of America, and immediately takes precautions to save his own family. When Corrie Renaldi turns fifteen, she leaves the safety of the compound her father built, and sets out to find what happened to her country. Her best friend Orrin comes along for the ride, and they head out to the destroyed countryside and find pieces of the puzzle that broke the nation. Unfortunately, Corrie's nemesis decides to tag along, and they have no choice but to let her follow them. Corrie, Orrin, and Sadie start trying to put the pieces together, and end up in the White House looking for a dead president. They find out that they are in way over their heads, and suddenly in a fight for their lives.
