World Afflictions: Reflections Volume 1/3

This poetic collection is the first book of a three volume set, a huge collection of poems dedicated to: Justice and Truth, to free expression and love, to compassion and goodness, to knowledge and thinking, to the experience of life and death, to my childhood and the childhoods of many people I have known, to believing in the supposed impossible, to hope and peace, to dreams and idealism, to joy and happiness, to enlightenment and bringing any darkness into the light so that it may vanish from the world. This work of poetry is in honor of all the children, woman and men who have been silenced to express themselves, to everyone who has no voice and is kept prisoner through addiction or chains. This work is an expression of past injustice and future injustice and the hope that justice will always prevail. This is for a better world. That better world starts with us. Let poetry grow, let poetry expand, let the dream continue to thrive in every way. Keep poetry near to your mind, near to your heart, near to your soul, keep it close, keep it close, never let it go. Poetic thought, poetic dreams, this is in honor of all dreams of idealism, of all expression from the heart, allow the dream to thrive.
