Quiz Kidz Thumbs Down Bullying is a beautifully illustrated and wonderfully told story that teaches kids very important lessons about bullying. The story centers on a young dinosaur named Dakota who is experiencing problems with his classmate and former best friend, Harry the horse. Harry makes fun of Dakota every chance he gets, and it makes Dakota very unhappy and confused. There are even moments when Dakota doesn’t want to go to school, just so he can avoid Harry’s cruelty toward him.
Also central to the story are a pleasant pink pignamed Penelope and the hefty teacher, Ms. Hippo. They each have something to say about what’s going on between Harry and Dakota. And what they say will help young readers better understand the role others play in the all-too-common bullying scenario.
