Steps: Forming A Disability Minstry

As members of the disability community, many stories and situations tug at our heartstrings. This is never truer than when we hear the pain in the voices of parents as they tell of being rejected in churches because they have a disabled family member. We hear the same scenarios day after day as we listen to parents tell of their failed attempts to attend church. Some are frantically searching for a solution. Others have given up and no longer even try to take the family to church. It is important for families facing the enormous challenge of raising special needs children to find religious support and have the spiritual edification they seek. They want this for themselves, and they need it for their children.
