Have you ever wondered why the underside of your pillow is cold, why your sheets have static electricity, why your children’s bed never seems to be made or their room is always messy? Maybe you’ve stepped in a melted ice cube in the kitchen; found cracked eggs in the carton and no one seems to know how it happened. Those unexplained toys on the stairs and the single socks in the laundry. Have you ever considered that maybe you are housing Gnomes unaware? When ten-year-old Oliver Chance inherits a mysterious bed that houses a community of Gnomes, he embarks upon a magical journey of self-discovery as they try to teach him the true meaning of Christmas. Oliver Chance is your average fifth-grader; sweet, funny, and exceedingly kind to others. But when he inherits a mysterious bed from his grandfather, his whole world gets flipped upside-down. Unbeknownst to Oliver, the bed is inhabited by a secret community of Gnomes whose sole mission in life is to teach him a lesson in morality, or as they like to call it, a Well Gnome Fact. Unfortunately, their teaching methods are a bit unorthodox, and madness ensues. As the countdown to Christmas begins, Oliver has got to figure out whatever lesson they’re trying to teach him before time runs out… A WELL GNOME FACT is a feel-good children’s book meant to be read as an advent calendar, counting down the days until Christmas.
