1975 - Katherine, is beginning her life in the world of music, young, adventurous and a head full of dreams. When her father announces that he will be taking the family to Hawaii on a much needed vacation, Katherine's world as she knew it changes forever.

 She meets Mana and the two form an inseparable bond that will last a lifetime. Time and tragedy keeps them apart and life goes on for everyone else as usual.
