The author is proud of his service with Special Forces. It was a powerful experience, one of exhilaration, frustration, sorrow, self-discovery, sagacity, survival, growth, education, love and respect of people thousands of miles from home. A war zone is a collage of planned and unplanned activity that taxes every emotion, survival, intellect, the sixth sense, values, and growth.
