Let's Learn Hindi Matras (Hindi Edition)

This bilingual (Hindi/English) activity workbook teaches non-Hindi speaking students the concept of Hindi Matras. A brief overview of the Hindi language and alphabet is followed by an explanation of what are Hindi matras. Some basic rules for using matras to make Hindi words are given. Then students learn each matra in greater depth. For each matra there are practice exercises, commonly used Hindi vocabulary words, and a short story or poem using the vocabulary words introduced. Many vocabulary words are accompanied by a picture or illustration, their English transliteration, and meaning in English. There are also several short, fun Hindi poems that students will enjoy learning.
