Laughing into the Stillness: an Anthology by Harney Basin Writers

This is a hearty collection of essays, poetry, film script, song lyric, and excerpts from several novels. The contributors, who live in the high desert of the southeast Oregon frontier, amuse themselves and others with sci-fi spoofs, historical fiction, a wide range of poetry, alien physicists, tales of a llama trainer, and much more. Included here are works by published and award-winning authors, young writers and some well into retirement. These are the core members of Harney Basin Writers, some of whom give writing workshops while others lead a 4-H writing club.
