Madame Bovary

When the young and well-educated Emma Roualt meets and marries Charles Bovary, a kind and well-meaning doctor, her hopes of romance seem thoroughly realized. However, as time goes by and Emma establishes herself in the role of wife and mother, she starts to feel disappointed and frustrated at the ordinary routine of her marriage. Will Emma manage to remain a virtuous and dedicated wife or will the charm of the outside world seduce her into more obscure adventures?
