From Dreamer to Director

After over 35 years in the film industry, I have finally come across an hon- est and insightfully written description of what it takes to be a movie di- rector. Anybody can go to film school to learn the basics of how to direct a film, but the real art comes in not just knowing the basics, it is also how you direct your actors and crew to make a successful film. Joaquín’s method of directing from a position of knowledge of his craft, respect for all concerned with the production and humility is a sure way to make a name for yourself in the industry.
