Gage Devin Jackson was Chicago’s greatest detective until he was critically injured and quit, shutting himself away from the world; the last person willing to put up with him, his assistant, Maddox Schmid. After turning away case after case after plea for help an old friend shows up at Gage’s door with a tempting offer to return to the field for one last escapade. Right away the case proves to be peculiar and throws the entire White-Collar crime team into a frenzy as their own members are targeted by an unknown threat. Old friends come back into Michelle’s life, proving that no one is safe or can be trusted. Everyone’s future hangs in the balance as death becomes the only acceptable payment for freedom.
