Tales from an Alien Planet

Budge Coplin is devestated, his childhood heroine, Elisabeth Sladen has died. He has locked himself away to grieve but that is not acceptable to his best friend, affectionately called Bitch-Face. She signs him up to a science fiction support group hoping they would be able to understand his pain which she finds illogical. The group consists of a frigid librarian, a gay bear, a drag queen resembling Mae West, an alcoholic father and a plus size Goth. Nothing special to Budge until he arrives, The Perfect one, looking like a dashing Clark Kent, but would he even notice him a forty-something has been writer with an unhealthy obsession in science fiction. The story is about how this grieving fan finds purpose again through the relationships in the support group.
