Part I is a meditation on psychological experience. The word 'psychology' is explored for it true meaning -- the logos or speech of the soul -- what that is, and how to notice this dimension of human-being. Part II consists of a mediation on spirit. What constitutes spiritual experience? How to develop the capacity of hearing the speaking of patients in its spirit dimension. Part III concerns transformation. What is the nature of spiritual longing expressed by patients, how to hear the speaking of such longing, and how to tend genuine transformation rather than seeking to be an aid in adjustment.
