The Einstein Prophecy offers an excellent look at a bygone era—World War II. Filled with impressive research into that area, it is, at heart, a horror story with well-established central characters. It deals both with the two major character’s attempts to recapture a demon let loose from an ancient ossuary, but there is a secondary theme of the effects of war. In particular Albert Einstein has strong doubts about what he is doing to end the war, that is, in developing the atomic bomb. Many historic characters appear in the book but in a way that either is historically correct or does nothing to distract from their true characters. In many instances, it’s a case of “What if…” What if these historical characters attended a Princeton football game, and what if a demon attempted to stab Einstein to death as he watches the game? What if the demon possessed other beings and continued the quest to end Einstein’s life? And what if the demon could possess other bodies—animal or human—to cause chaos and destruction?
