Uncanny Journal: Revista Uncanny (Volume 3)

TheUncanny is a Journal that aims to publish texts (in blind and peer reviews) essentially essayistic around various themes since allocated to Social Sciences and Humanities, lato sensu, including results of investigation developed as part of courses in gradution, Master’s Degree and PhD. The Uncanny proposes to disseminates annually articles of professors and investigators not only from the Portuguese’s Universities but also from other foreign institutions or centres , stimulating in the national and international plan, reflection, dialogue, cooperatin and development scientific networking activities. Open to the participation of all interested, the Uncanny will privilege inquiry articles and critical readings settled in philosophical and cultural perspectives and current scientific methods. Averse to schools or any proselytizing of political, ideological or religious nature, the Uncanny is oriented only by criteria of scientific quality, in the respect for the plurality of points of view and tolerance. Therefore, the Uncanny Journal it is not connected to any department, university or institution. A Uncanny é uma revista (com arbitragem científica) que visa publicar textos de cariz essencialmente ensaístico em torno de temas vários desde que afectos às Ciências Sociais e Humanas, lato sensu, incluindo resultados de investigação desenvolvida no âmbito de cursos de Licenciatura, de Mestrado e de Doutoramento. A Uncanny propõe-se divulgar anualmente artigos de docentes e investigadores não só de Universidades Portuguesas mas também de outras instituições ou centros de investigação estrangeiros, estimulando, nos planos nacional e internacional, a reflexão, o diálogo, a cooperação e o desenvolvimento de actividades científicas em rede. Aberta à participação de todos os interessados, aUncanny privilegiará artigos de investigação e leituras críticas assentes em perspectivas de abordagem filosófica e cultural e métodos actuais. Avessa a escolas ou a qualquer proselitismo de índole política, ideológica ou religiosa, a Uncanny orienta-se apenas por critérios de qualidade científica, no respeito pela pluralidade de pontos de vista e pela tolerância. A Uncanny não está vinculada por isso a nenhum departamento, universidade ou instituição.
