The Calm

A contemporary vampire and werewolf saga that is both a love story and a scientific approach to explaining the existence of both species. This is not your normal fantasy world of glamorous vampires and blood-thirsty werewolves. Nor is this a teen-centric love story, with fairytale, romantic overtones. This is a realistic, Darwinian take on the subject – both vampires and werewolves are genetically evolved human subspecies trying to survive in this world. They face the same issues we do – economics, wars, crimes, and technology. They must survive just as humans do, and yet there are obvious differences that cannot be dismissed. It is a love story between a werewolf and a human, a story of discovery, trust, bad decisions, and eventual struggle to save the human from the vampires, an event that threatened the long period of peace between the species, the period know as the Calm. This is the first of three novels of the series called The Calm.
