Light and Sound Energy Experiences in Science Grades 5-9

This book presents a program of basic studies dealing with light and sound energy. The sources and nature of light and sound are presented along with various characteristics of each phenomenon. Topics include instruments that use and observe light and sound, materials that affect light and sound, and communication. Each of the twelve teaching units in this book is introduced by a color transparency that emphasizes the basic concept of the unit and presents questions for discussion.
